Goodall Koa CJ

FOR SALE: Koa Concert Jumbo Cutaway
  ('98 ~ NEAR MINT) $SOLD!

This is a Limited Edition Custom Concert Jumbo, #5 of 5, with sides personally hand bent by James Goodall (label inside body). Using the finest grade of Koa and Engelmann, this larger body Concert Jumbo offers great, expansive, warm, balanced tones. It possesses a beautiful lyrical quality and plenty of volume. And like the other Goodalls we have, the strings ring with lots of sustain and overtones.

The back and sides, including the custom soft cutaway, are made from wonderfully figured AAAA Koa, bound with Birdseye Maple along with what appears to be Koa and Ebony purfling (also used on the back and endpin seams). The headstock is covered with a Rosewood veneer, also bound with Birdseye Maple, and enhanced with an abalone/pearl Goodall logo, gold Schallers and Ebony buttons.

The top is made from greatly silked Master Grade Engelmann (with clear pickguard), and decorated with a premium abalone rosette. The abalone is also bordered with circlets made from the same purfling, along with a single Ebony circle. The Ebony fingerboard is bound in Ebony, with MOP slotted diamond markers. The neck is solid Mahogany (satin finish), with a Birdseye Maple heelcap.

This Concert Jumbo is also fitted with an LR Baggs Ribbon pickup (installed by Goodall), which includes an on board pre-amp hidden inside the top side and an endpin jack . The top nut and saddle (fully compensated) are bone. The Ebony bridge is complimented with Ebony pins with MOP dots. Comes with OHSC.
