This
is Del's Mahogany Grand Concert, MGC-6 (the guitar is mislabled
as an M-6 but the lower bout is 15"--his M-6s measure at 16"):
classic mohagany sunburst, warm, rich sound with deep resonant bass
(similar to a dreadnaught), but with sweet trebles, great overtones
and tonal balance. |

Hondurus
mahogany back and sides are bursted all over with flamed maple bindings
and black & white pin stripe purfling on the Engelmann top.
The soundhole
is adorned with a dual abalone rosette, full of red jewel hues,
accented with a thin red center ring and bordered with black &
white purfling; protected with a tortis pickguard. |

The
headstock is covered with a mirror finished ebony veneer, inlayed
with a Langejans logo made from highly colored abebone. The top
nut (1 3/4") sits above a zero top fret (wonderful intonation!).
The ebony fretboard, bound in ebony, is decorated with matching
highly colored abalone dot inlay. The ebony bridge is fitted with
a compensated L. R. Baggs LB6 saddle (each string is individually
compensated and the pickup is integrated with the entire saddle).
A solid mahogany neck with volute is fitted with gold grovers, a
strap button on the heel and capped with ebony. |
